The electric motor provides additional power as needed to help the gasoline engine to increase speed or climbs hills. This allows a smaller, more efficient gasoline engine to be used .As a result , HEVs use about half as much gasoline as traditional vehicles. There are also immediate environmental benefits to driving HEVs. Electricity, unlike gasonline , is a clean energy source that does not release harmful gases into the air. Because HEVs use only half as much gasonline as traditional vehicles, they create about half as much pollution.Moreover, the electricity used by HEVs can be generated by renewable recources such as solar and geothermal energy. If you’re still not convinced that HEVs are a good option, then consider the personal advantages to buying this type of vehicle. First of all, HEVs are generallt only sightly more expensive than traditional automobiles. With gas prices rising almost daily,imagine the gas ub your car lasting you twice as long. You could cut your gas expenses in half. In addition, some government offer special tax deductions to owners of HEVs.
