Code of Ethics & Responsibilities
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________
This Code of Ethics and Responsibilities established by previous Auburn University MBA students to outline
expected behaviors and appropriate conduct for all Auburn University MBA/MSBA students. The points listed below
are not comprehensive. However, they are presented as a guide in promoting an academic program and personal
behaviors with the highest levels of integrity, honesty and civility.
■Students are expected to represent Auburn University, the Auburn MBA Program, and themselves in an honorable, mature,
ethical and professional manner.
■Whether careless or malicious plagiarism is unacceptable and may be grounds for dismissal from Auburn University. This
includes all work (e.g. printed media, internet, etc.) that is not properly credited to the proper author(s) through appropriate
and accurate citation.
■Group work is group work and individual work is not group work. Whether the assignment is to you as an individual or to
a group in which you are a member, it can never be shared with another student without the permission of the supervising
professor.
■Group projects require equal contribution and participation form all members. Students will conduct themselves in a
professional manner representative of conduct expected in a business environment. Group members are expected to respect
each other and maintain a professional and productive team dynamic. Any questionable or inappropriate behavior is
expected to be reported to the MBA Honor Board.
■Certain courses may require computer-based tests and/or exams. All such examinations will be completed on an individual
student basis.
■Students are expected to report honor violations to the supervising professor, the MBA Program Office or the MBA Honor
Board. Honor violations include, but are not limited to and intentional act of cheating, lying or stealing as defined by the
Auburn University Honor Code. Identities for all parties will be protected with the utmost confidentiality when violations are
reported.
■All courses and class assignments will be completed on time and prepared and/or presented in a professional manner.
■Students are expected to arrive at class on time, be well prepared and attend all classes unless excused by the supervising
professor or due to extenuating circumstances. In all cases an Official University Excuse may be required.
■Students will respect property of Auburn University, the College ofBusinessand the MBA/MSBA Programs. This includes
such items as computer, office equipment, classroom and audio-visual equipment.
■This MBA/MSBA Code of Ethics and Responsibilities is an addendum to the policies and guidelines established in the
Auburn University Tiger Cub Manual for Students. MBA/MSBA Honor Code violations are always subject to University
Honor Board jurisdiction and review.
I hereby certify that I have read and understand the above and agree to abide by this Code:
