Volume 5, Number Editor-in-Chief: Dr Charles Young Aims and Scope Clinical Case Reports is different to other case report journals Our aim is to directly improve global health outcomes and share clinical knowledge using case reports to convey important best practice messages We welcome case reports, clinical images, and procedural videos from all areas of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science Clinical Case Reports aims to publish cases which illustrate the use of important systematic reviews Clinical Case Reports also has a close relationship with the Cochrane Collaboration and case report submissions which relate to Cochrane systematic reviews are a priority for the Journal If your submission has an important clinical message we would like to read it! We focus on common and unusual clinical situations, and encourage critical reflection and critique of practice, and have a particular interest in reports that draw on the use of clinical guidelines Why are we interested in common as well as uncommon clinical scenarios? Our view is that by publishing important common clinical scenarios managed according to agreed best practice principles we will help inform a broader clinical audience than the more esoteric reports When writing your case report, please consider that our mission “…is to contribute to quality patient care and health professional education through the dissemination of clinical practice scenarios We want to support clinicians in providing patients with the best possible care, and ultimately we aim to provide a reservoir of case reports that can also be used in teaching and for secondary research purposes” For further information, please refer to our Author Guidelines available at http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1002/(ISSN)2050-0904/homepage/ForAuthors.html Open Access and Copyright
