This is the longest road.(Đây đường dài nhất.) – Chú ý thành lập dạng so sánh so sánh tính từ ngắn + Ta việc thêm "r" "st" với tính từ ngắn kết thúc "e" Ví dụ: large(rộng) - larger(rộng hơn) - the largest(rộng nhất) nice(đẹp) - nicer(đẹp hơn) - the nicest(đẹp nhất) + Ta bỏ "y" thêm "ier/iest" với tính từ kết thúc "y" Ví dụ: happy(vui vẻ) - happier(hạnh phúc hơn) - the happiest(hạnh phúc nhất) easy(dễ) - easier(dễ dàng hơn) + Ta gấp đôi phụ âm cuối trước thêm "er/est" với tính từ âm tiết kết thúc phụ âm + nguyên âm + phụ âm Ví dụ: big (to) - bigger (to hơn) - the biggest (to nhất) hot (nóng) - hotter (nóng hơn) - the hottest (nóng nhất) Eg: Autumn is cooler than summer (Mùa thu mát mùa hè.)
