Date of planning:………… Date of teaching: ……… … WEEK: Period .: UNIT : A VISIT TO SCHOOL Lesson 6: SKILLS_2 Listening and Writing I OBJECTIVES:By the end of this lesson, students will be able to gain the following things : Knowledge: - Listen for general and specific information about school activities - Write a paragraph about outdoor activities at one’s school + Vocabulary: Use the words related to the topic A visit to a school ( Schools, school facilities, and school activities ) - pronounce the sounds /tʃ/ and /dʒ/ correctly; + Grammar: - Use the prepositions of time and place; Competence: Students will be able to learn how to improve two skills - Develop communication skills and cultural awareness - Be cooperative and supportive in pair work and teamwork - Actively join in class activities Qualities: - To educate the love for school, school activities - Ss have the good attitude to working in groups, individual work, pairwork, cooperative learning - Develop self-study skills II TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Grade text book, laptop, projector / TV/ pictures and cards - Students : Text books, studying equipment… - Computer connected to the Internet - Sach mem.vn III PROCEDURE: Notes: In each activity, each step will be represented as following: * Deliver the task * Implement the task * Discuss * Give comments or feedback WARM UP & INTRODUCTION ( 5’) Aim: To activate Ss’ knowledge of the topic of the listening text * Content: Having some warm-up activities to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to inspire Ss to warm up to the new lesson * Outcome: Having a chance to speak English and focus on the new lesson * Organisation : Teacher’s instructions… Teacher’s & Student’s activities Content + Greeting + Greeting + GAME : The hidden word + GAME : The hidden word * Teacher divides the class into teams and asks - T_ Ss;
