The audience is the American government and public The occasion for the text is to warn of the destructiveness and dangerousness of the chemicals that affect the natural environment and the health of humans and animals Which rhetorical appeals are used? How are figurative language and imagery used within the text? Rhetorical appeal used is pathos, ethos and logos Imagery used at the start of the text to describe the danger and destruction of the chemicals that affect the natural environment and the health of humans and animals What is the tone? How is it established in the text?
