CAMPBELL ITKIVERSITT SCHOOL OF LAW 1987 PLACEMEirr bvllehk Message from the Acting Dean Richard A Lord September 1,1986 In August, 1976, Campbell University School of Law enrolled its charter class, with a commitment to excellence in legal education, to the coalescence of practical and theoretical skills, to the development of innovative approaches to the practice of law and to the fostering of a strong ethical foundation upon which to base careers that would extend into the twenty-first century In the decade that has followed, we have endeavored to meet those commitments, and our graduates have established an impressive record of service throughout the State of North Carolina, the Southeast, and the Nation, in large and small firms, in government, in industry and in education Campbell's classes of 1987, 1988 and 1989, represented in this Bulletirt, possess exceptional academic credentials, and their training, diligence and commitment will continue the tradition that began ten short years ago Virtually all of them will have served as summer clerks prior to graduation, and all will have participated in our nationally rec­ ognized, award vanning Trial Advocacy program Their required participation in planning and management courses, an intensive writing requirement and exposure to the newest technological advances brought about by the computer revolution will produce lawyers capable of meeting the demands of the legal profession now and in the future I invite you to visit our Law School to view our program and conduct an on-campus interview To schedule an interview time or solicit a resume from any student appearing in this Bulletin, please contact Assistant Dean Margaret Currin, who provides additional information on page As always, we appreciate your continued support and kind suggestions, and remain eager to assist you in any way we can Sincerely, Richard A Lord Acting Dean CAMPBELL UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW 1987 PLACEMENT BULLETIN Dear Friends, Greetings from the Classes of 1987-1989! As you look through this bulletin, you will see that our students come from all over the United States Though we are diverse in our backgrounds, we come to Buies Creek with one purpose in mind: to study the law and prepare for its practice In addition to the substantive courses taught in traditional legal curricula, our students are required to take courses which combine legal theory with practical application Included among these are law office management;
