Job Title: Admissions Coordinator FLSA status: full-time, hourly MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL Position summary: This position assists with all aspects of the admissions and recruitment process for incoming freshmen and transfer students This position also will interact frequently with the in-house Marketing/Communications staff regarding marketing and promotions efforts and the execution of print and digital collateral materials that support student recruitment Position description: Represent the Marquette University High School brand in all forms of appropriate forms of communication and interaction to prospective families, feeder schools and organizations, the MUHS community and the general public in a way that supports the school’s Catholic, Jesuit mission Make recruitment visits to schools and admissions fairs in the five-county area as assigned by the director Oversee Campus Visit Program Provide communications to feeder schools regarding student achievement Assist in the development, management and execution of the department’s special events and activities plan for prospective and admitted students, including Open House, Campus Visits, Acceptance Visits, Summer Explore!, home and community speaking events, athletic and fine art events and new events for grades 5-7 Assist in the development of the communications plan to prospective and admitted students (including direct mail, website and digital information) Assist in the development of the school’s recruitment strategy and marketing plan Assist in managing the Admissions Homeroom Develop surveys and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting, and operational efficiency Interact and engage the faculty, administrators, staff, and board committee members to gain knowledge and support for the Admissions Department’s goals and outcomes Other duties as assigned by the Admissions Director Job Requirements: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in communications, liberal arts, marketing or related field At least 1-3 years admissions experience in an educational setting (professional or as a college student), or related work experience that includes public speaking to small and large groups, marketing, promotions or special events Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing and be able to represent MUHS in a positive, professional manner Ability to articulate the uniqueness and benefits of a Catholic, Jesuit education Ability to work in a team environment with school staff, administrators and faculty Have a basic understanding and interest in the creation of a variety of media, including print publications, website development and social media Should possess high energy, work independently or in a team setting, understand the audience with whom communicating and adapt as appropriate, be flexible, multi-task, provide attention to detail, prioritize work and plan ahead Possession of a valid driver’s license, access to reliable, personal transportation, and the ability to travel and work nights and weekends as necessary Interest and ability to learn and use technologies that support the work of the Admissions Department and familiarity with MSOffice Suite Familiarity with photography and videography is helpful Good organization, project management, budget management, analytical and analysis skills Supervision Received: Position is supervised by the Director of Admissions This description documents the general nature and level of responsibility associated with this position It is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all activities, duties, and responsibilities required of incumbents It is not intended to limit or modify the right of any supervisor to assign, direct, and monitor the work of employees under supervision How to apply: If you are interested, please send a letter of interest and résumé to: Human Resource Specialist, Marquette University High School 3401 W Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53208 Phone: 414-933-7220 | Fax: 414-933-3086 E-mail: jobs@muhs.edu | School Website: http://www.muhs.edu
