High School Oratorical Scholarship Program: “A Constitutional Speech Contest”     Requirements: High school students in grades 9-12 below age 20 who are citizens or lawful permanent residents of Scholarships     Requirements: Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who are the children or adopted children of a parent who either 1) was in the U.S military and died in active duty on or after 9/11/2001 2) OR who is a VA-rated, post 9/11 veteran with a disability rate of 50% or higher Students must be pursuing or planning to pursue undergraduate study at an accredited juniors who attend the current session of either The American Legion Boys State or Auxiliary Girls State program and are a direct descendant- i.e., child, grandchild, great-grandchild, etc.- or a legally adopted child of a wartime veteran who served on actdive duty during at least one of the periods of war officially designated as eligibility dates for American Legion membership Applicants who Leadership Program     Requirements: This program offers various opportunities for American high school students aged 15-17 and educators or community leaders who work with youth to travel abroad on a 3- to 4- week long exchange to specific countries to gain first-hand knowledge of foreign cultures and to collaborate on solving global issues Different organizations implement this program presented through the US Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and each has organized an academic and experiential educational exchange, focused on dialogue and debate, of 17-26 with a high school GPA or at least 2.50, a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum score of 920 on the SAT (math and verbal) or 19 on the ACT (excluding the required writing test scores), meet required physical standards (see website for details), and commit to an 8-year service commitment to the Army (including active duty and reserve components) See website for full details receive update when new application cycle opens Ayn Rand Novels Essay Contest     Requirements: Three different essay contests are offered; each one focused on a different literary work by Ayn Requirements: Every student who attends Berea College in Kentucky receives a Tuition Promise Scholarship This scholarship is combined with any financial aid and/or other scholarships the admitted student has received so that 100% of tuition costs are covered for all students admitted to Berea International students are encouraged and welcome to apply Admission to Berea is competitive; Berea be the applicant who can best present their need to the Bridge Foundation The scholarship is designed for the student who is driven to succeed to the best of their personal ability There is no GPA requirement, test score standard, or athletic baseline The Bridge Scholarship is for the student who has a goal and a plan for achieving it The Bridge Foundation is an entrepreneurial group looking
