YO U ’R E I N V I T E D TO TH E of SEMINAR SERIES PRESENTERS Presentation & Discussion Sonya Sarner program director for refugee and immigration services, Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Scranton Through campus and guest speakers, this series serves to engage the varied challenges facing the Greater Scranton area Q&A and Discussion will provide an opportunity to share interests in issues affecting the Greater Scranton area as well as discuss community engagement efforts currently being undertaken with Om Timsina CSS case manager & leader of Scranton’s Nepali-Bhutanese community The Newest Scrantonians Refugee Resettlement in NEPA In keeping with the tradition of recognizing all as a part of God’s family, Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Scranton welcomes strangers into our midst and offers services to refugees, immigrants and migrants Sonya Sarner will discuss the resettlement efforts of CSS, and Om Timsina will share his story, reflecting that of the larger Nepali-Bhutanese community that has found refuge in Northeastern Pennsylvania The Series is presented by Campus Ministries’ Center for Service and Social Justice and the Office of Community and Government Relations in cooperation with the Jesuit Center, Faculty Senate, Staff Senate and Education for Justice This event is also offered in collaboration with the University’s refugee crisis committee DATE Wednesday March 30, 2016 12 p.m – p.m Light lunch provided RSVP requested to jessica.durkin@scranton.edu or x4419 LOCATION Brennan Hall, Rose Room
