FRANKIE & BENNY’S Student competition to win a year’s tuition, apprenticeship at TRG and a year’s worth of Frankie & Benny’s Competition rules Eligibility and how to enter • You must be 18+ and living in England, Wales or Scotland at the time of entering • You must be enrolled at a university in England, Wales or Scotland, studying or about to begin a full-time degree course – including undergraduates and postgraduates - at the time of entering the competition • Competition opens on 09:00am on 27th September 2021 Competition ends 11:59pm October 24th 2021 Entries made outside of this time frame will not be considered • There are four prizes in total The prizes will be provided by Frankie & Benny’s • Each prize will amount to one year's worth of university tuition fees (up to a maximum of £9,250), a UK apprenticeship qualification at TRG and a year’s worth of Frankie & Benny’s in the form of a £500 gift card to be used in the next 12 months In England and Wales the tuition prize element will be paid directly to the elected university or Student Loans Company in the winner’s name In Scotland the same prize amount (£9,250) will be paid directly to the winner to support with living costs All amounts are inclusive of VAT (if any) The tuition fee element relates to the 2021-2022 scolastic year and must be taken up by 31st January 2022, after which date this element of the prize will lapse • The competition is not open to students living or studying in any country outside of England, Wales or Scotland International students living and studying in England, Wales or Scotland may enter the competition, however with the acknowledgment that the maximum tuition fee is £9,250 and therefore will not cover a full year’s tuition • The UK apprenticeship qualification or government equivalent will be agreed after the winner’s graduation at a point convenient to the winner and The Restaurant Group, but no later than October 31st, 2025 Apprenticeships not taken up by this date will be forfeited The apprenticeship qualification must be taken through a partner engaged by The Restaurant Group It is up to the individual to ensure that they study and live in England, Wales or Scotland and qualify for an apprenticeship The apprenticeship qualification needs to be either higher or different to the winner’s graduate degree Winner must be able to demonstrate proof of having achieved a C or above in English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent Exam costs and first year professional fees will be covered at the discretion of The Restaurant Group The list of currently available apprenticeships can be found here https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards Note these may change over time • It is up to the winner if they want to make use of all the elements of the prize and refusing one won’t impact their eligibility for the other(s) • To enter: – Take and a picture of yourself (and your friends or family!) enjoying a meal at Frankie & Benny’s or tucking into a Frankie & Benny’s takeaway at home The meal and picture must clearly show the Frankie & Benny’s brand and must involve at least one Coca Cola product: Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Coca Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite, Fanta or Appletiser – Post the picture onto your feed on Instagram, with a #StudentsWinWithFrankies and @frankienbennys The picture must remain on your feed for the duration of the competition – In the caption, state which university you’re attending and explain why you think you should be a winner • One post equals one entry and you may enter as many times as you wish However, only one prize will be awarded per person • Once the competition is closed, winners will be selected by a panel of judges from Frankie & Benny’s and The Restaurant Group, based on the entrants’ responses as to why they should win The decision of the judges shall be final and unchallengeable and in their absolute discretion • We will contact the winner by 11:59pm 31st October via Instagram direct message If selected, you must respond within 14 calendar days, otherwise we will select a new winner • Once the winners have been selected and contacted, they will be asked to provide their personal details (such as name, home address, email address, phone number, gender, name of university, and Student ID number) to Frankie & Benny’s and consent to sharing them with the relevant UK university and/or Student Loans Company to verify details of the successful winner • If the winner, respective universities and/or Student Loans Company are not be able to verify their undergraduate/ postgraduate status, a new winner(s) will be selected to receive the prize instead • If the winner is unable to take up a prize for any reason or in the event that a winner cannot be contacted by Frankie & Benny’s within a reasonable period, Frankie & Benny’s reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, in which case the first winner chosen will not be eligible for any share of the prize • Once the winning students’ ID and residence has been confirmed: – We will then be in touch to confirm the payment process for the tuition fee prize The payment will be made by 31st January 2022 – We will be in touch to nominate a relevant contact to discuss next steps and further details for the apprenticeship element of the prize – We will send the winner a digital £500 Frankie & Benny’s gift card by 31st December 2021 to the email address provided, to be used over the next 12 months • Students who have already finished university and started paying off their loans are not eligible for the prize • Employees of The Restaurant Group and their families are not eligible for the prize • Entries not submitted in accordance with these Terms & Conditions, or entries which are delayed, duplicated, incomplete, illegible, mislaid or lost through technical problems will not be accepted No responsibility is accepted for such entries Proof of entry online will not be accepted as proof • Frankie & Benny’s reserves the right to withdraw or disqualify any entry that is found to be in breach of any of these rules Entries must not be obscene, defamatory or offensive and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party • Frankie & Benny’s reserves the right to update or change the competition rules, extend the entry period or close the competition early, without prior notice at any time Frankie & Benny’s reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should circumstances outside of its control make this necessary • Prizes are not transferrable and no cash or other alternatives to the prize will be offered The exception is the case of the winner attending a Scottish university where the prize fund will be paid directly to the winner to help with living costs while at university • It is a condition of entry to any Competition that the entrant agrees to be bound by these rules Frankie & Benny’s decision is final and no other correspondence will be entered into • The winners’ name and county will be available on request after 30th November for 30 days and Frankie & Benny’s reserves the right to publish prizewinners' names on Frankie & Benny’s social media platforms and/or its website The winners’ information and winning entries must be provided to the Advertising Standards Authority on officers, employers and agents) excludes all liability (including for negligence), for any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition, including but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Frankie & Benny’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or claim for a prize that is late, disqualified, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in the competition rules; (e) any tax liability or expense incurred by a winner; (f) any inability by a winner to qualify for, take up or benefit from a prize or (g) use of use, reproduce and publish each entry in any and all media (including print and online) for publicity and news purposes Frankie & Benny’s will have the right to publish, for free, the entry, or part
