I believe many of the young people who need online school are like my daughter, who suffers from high anxiety These students are unique and deserve to have a high quality education that meets or exceed the standards required by the state The role of teachers, staff and team members of SCVCS is to nurture, guide and push each child while providing each child with individual support and structure to succeed This is hard, but as a Board member I would support the hiring and retention of teachers and staff who understand and thrive by meeting this challenge My mother taught for 32 years (6th grade) and I saw how hard this role is I get it!
