Emma Hart, Head of Transition 17 May 2021 Dear Parents, Carers and Students joining us in September, I hope you and your families are well As we start to prepare to welcome your child into our school, we need to collect some important information from you To make this as easy as possible we have created an online form for you to complete We ask that you only fill in this form once to ensure we don’t have multiple entries for you https://forms.gle/kzZfmomEdu1DfBZL8 Please complete it by Friday 28 May In the early part of the new school year you will have the opportunity to review and update any information you give to us at this stage Summer School We are excited to announce that we are running a summer school for all Year pupils from Monday 26 July-Friday 30 July, 8:30am-1pm This will not only allow our new students to get to know Cheney and some of the key staff, but will also give students an opportunity to some of the things that have been missing over the last year We will be doing lots of sport, art, music, drama, DT, cooking, and things like science practicals that haven’t been possible during lockdown We hope that students will a core programme, and then will be able to opt for a pathway that they are most interested in We hope to be able to put on a ‘show in a week’ for example, and invite parents to the performance on Friday Our plans are still at an early stage, and more details will come out later, together with a definitive sign-up form In order for us to plan sufficient staffing, please could I ask that you complete the expression of interest form below, at the end of the section about Mandarin (there is no commitment at this stage)?
