school improvement in the State of West Virginia as of August 5, 2010 Other entities can still apply in this rolling application format The descriptions of services the organizations can provide and contained therein not represent any preference of the West Virginia Department of Education Furthermore; the descriptions of services, components of the plan of the provider, cost, or qualifications of the provider contained in this document are not meant to be taken as comprehensive Should you wish to carefully examine the application of the provider or the submitted appendices, we suggest you information needed for your school or district to make an informed decision We have included two attachments at the end of the list of Approved External Partners The first attachment is for a provider you currently contract with and want to continue that contractual arrangement This vendor does not need to submit an External Supporting Application unless they want to offer their services to other practitioners and researchers with much experience in school improvement work Cost: $135,080.00 annually per school Components of the Plan (Services):  School Leadership Team—team of stakeholders that will have clearly designated roles and responsibilities and will function as a PLC  Diagnostic Needs Assessment—includes a review of key data elements required by WV; identifies gaps in performance and misalignment of curriculum  Instructional Supports—PLC’s; targeted professional development in math and literacy; review of student engagement to drive instruction  Learning Focused Environments—engages school leadership to develop a plan for ensuring high expectations; expansion of learning opportunities  Supports for Students and Families—establishes a School Partnership
