Peer to Peer Outreach to Further Landowner Assistance and Education One of the action areas identified by attendees at the “Future of FamilyOwned Woodlands in the United States” is the promotion of effective “peer to peer” outreach programs Peer to Peer outreach and landowner mentoring programs are often successful in engaging landowners that have not previously pursued or responded to traditional landowner assistance programs Some of the conference attendees have been developing a plan to identify peer to peer an community based family forestry projects around the country, to analyze them for “effective practices” and to develop “how to” resource materials based on these findings The following is a list of programs that the group has thus far identified: Alabama Master Wildlifer: Wildlife on Private Lands Master Wildlifer is designed for landowners, land managers, and outdoors recreationists who are interested in including wildlife considerations into their current
