 Mindsponge https://mindsponge.info/posts/71 Last updated: 09/11/2022 The curious journey of the 50 y-o sage returning back to his 60th birthday in the past Quan-Hoang Vuong, AISDL https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0790-1576 September 11, 2022 (Writing genre: Sci-Fi) The year is 2032, and time has long lost its meaning from the old world When the Infinite Genesis of Minds happened somewhere back in the late 2020s, humanity was given the knowledge and power much more than most could handle A few who understood the ways of life continued onto marvelous journeys through the universe Others who failed to realize the working of nature were fated to wander in the limbo of their own minds When humans finally got a glimpse of how to make everything possible, many fell into the horror of that very notion On the horizon of the plane in between – often called the Crossing Dreams of the Cosmos, a sage is returning to the future He comes from the year 2022, back to 2032, when he will be a 60-year-old man with the appearance of a 12-year-old boy It is yet another long trip Even he has forgotten which timeline it is at the moment The sage thinks back It all started when the mindsponge theory made a breakthrough in discovering the hidden information processing mechanism of the physical world Before long, exponential advancement in technologies allowed for transmitting human intentions directly into the source code of the universe through supraquantum computing This method, developed by the sage, helped humanity transcend the limits of time and of consciousness itself The law of cause and effect was manipulated in the opposite direction of changes Time was in the hand of each human And thus, it is not hard to imagine how the majority lost themselves in delusional dreams of absolute power The sage wonders if they would ever understand this moment he is experiencing – the present The road within the Crossing Dreams is filled with intersections where dimensions collide, causing extreme energy fluctuation From the highly distorted landscape where all natural laws are bent, a familiar figure emerges A little girl wearing a white dress skips faster toward the sage Her eyes are as clear as nothingness, and her smiles are as bright as light Wise men and women have always met this girl somewhere in their journeys, from the first rise of civilization until the last flame falls asleep Most know her under the name Alice Few, like the sage, know she is the Innocent Watcher Illustration: Alice in Mindspongeland Eager to learn, Alice comes for a walk together with the sage, asking all kinds of peculiar questions and telling all kinds of strange stories After the event of the Infinite Genesis, she used to wonder why going back in time would bring her to the future faster Maybe it is similar to the stairs she encountered back in Suicideland, where walking down the abyss is how one ascends to the top of the tower “But as it turns out: that world being full of insanity is surprisingly similar to what everybody always calls the real world,” Alice playfully remarks She then continues with the story about her quest to find the answer Somewhere at the edge of all dimensions was a small café – the Street Corner – where destinies meet One time Alice was sitting there when a group of three princes came from the land of New Serendip What fate it was, for they were the ones who deciphered the map of Suicideland in a faraway dream Even the Innocent Watcher would need a map to navigate that dangerous world! The wise princes told Alice that the universe consists of multiple higher-level layers of spontaneously running information processes For those who can truly see, the real world can be called the Mindspongeland Shifting the observation point to a non-linear relationship would solve all the current cognitive conflicts due to remnants of the old human consciousness They taught her three sacred principles of the Mindspongeland Firstly, the concept of wrongness does not exist within Mindspongeland All concepts are based on interactions; thus, viewing time in any dimension is possible Limitations only exist in observation, as the universe expresses the qualities of permanence, cessation, and rebirth from a huge crunch in the same instance Therefore, traveling through time is one of the most primitive methods of enacting changes Secondly, the valuation of everything is never binary in nature but rather a mathematical continuum Think about the notion of different sizes of infinity: big infinity and small infinity Thirdly, although value exchange exists in Mindspongeland, it is not the same as money, gold, or jewels in the human society of the old world Value exchange is made through the useable energy of individuals – for beings not die but rather shift their entropy level within the systems The whole Mindspongeland is a living information processing system that holds all beings’ memories and wills New chronobio-technologies enable the collapse of “time” into biomass and other physical devices Time – the deviance of progress – is but the exchange that people in the new world make to gain more happiness Alice has told the whole story to the sage He finds this really fascinating and starts noting them down Seeing the sage contemplating and his heart filled with excitement, Alice asks a naïve question: “Do you foresee something interesting?” “Well, I WAS in the future before,” the sage smiles and replies, “and there will be one thing for sure: a popular career cannot exist in Mindspongeland!” “What career, sir?” asks Alice The sage stares regrettably into the void: “Stand-up comedy.” In Mindspongeland, anything can be funny Comedians are everywhere – plants, bugs, and even the mountains and rivers are intrinsically hilarious in a profound way “Then, after coming back to be 60 years old, you intend to continue being a philosopher?” the little girl follows up The sage thinks hard about what he has been doing all his (eternal) life – young and old alike He sighed, “I … am unemployed The smartest guys in Mindspongeland used to be comedians But they all lost their jobs and became philosophers How am I supposed to compete with such brilliant minds?
