But I’m not an attention seeker who posts compliments on themself on social media so that others also know they’ve received compliments Why is negative feedback as important as positive feedback at work? While positive feedback lets people know what they’re good at so as to continue to that, a negative one allows people to know their mistakes so as to avoid repeating these in the future I know that most people don’t like to hear negative reviews, but they play a crucial role in self-development Without them, we’d continue to make mistakes, which leads to many bad consequences for ourselves and work Vocabulary Office politics (phrase): phe phái công ty She seems good at handling office politics Behind someone’s back (phrase): sau lưng What they say about me behind my back? The amount of time spent on social media varies from person to person However, compared with young people, older people definitely spend less time on social media That being that, I know many old people who take photos everywhere and post them on social media nearly every single day From my personal observations, for old people, social media act as a tool to keep pace with information, so they won’t need to spend too much time on them like young people, who tend to use social media as a tool to show off their lifestyles and achievements Are non-social media like television and newspapers still useful? They are still useful at the moment, I guess But it is only a matter of time till they become a thing of the past Many newspapers have rolled out their online editions along with their hard copies Subscription to online news is also more economical compared to buying print newspapers Meanwhile, many TV channels are now going online Soon, everything will be digitalised, and television and newspapers will totally disappear Vocabulary To be in its infancy (phrase): phát triển The system is still in its infancy Vary (v): thay đổi/khác The value of stocks will vary from month to month Keep pace with (phrase): theo kịp Could you slow down - I can't keep pace with you Show off (phrasal verb): khoe khoang She only bought that sports car to show off and prove she could afford one A matter of time (phrase): vấn đề thời gian If you keep on driving like that, it'll only be a matter of time before you have an accident + Để tìm hiểu thơng tin khóa học, sách thầy Bách, bạn truy cập: www.ngocbach.com + Hotline tư vấn đăng ký học: 0974657403 (email tư vấn: ieltsbach1707@gmail.com) 186 + Để tìm hiểu thơng tin khóa học, sách thầy Bách, bạn truy cập: www.ngocbach.com + Hotline tư vấn đăng ký học: 0974657403 (email tư vấn: ieltsbach1707@gmail.com) 187 ... 24 20 Memory 25 22 Advertisements 26 23 Boring things 27 24 Stress 28 25 Talents 28 26 Books and Reading... 20 14 Websites 21 15 Cinemas 22 16 Watching Sports/Sports 22 17 History 23 18 Sweets & Cakes 24 19 Car trip... 29 27 Meeting places 29 28 Collecting things 30 27 Watches 31 28 Computers 32 29 Sitting down 32 + Để tìm
