An example of how a fixed fee works is that when you perform account payments at an Absa ATM, you’ll pay a fixed fee per transaction, whether you pay R100,00 or R1000,00. With a sliding scale fee, when you withdraw money from an Absa ATM on certain products, you pay a base fee for the transaction itself plus a fee based on the value of the transaction. An example is a R3,85 base fee for the transaction plus a R1,10 fee per R100,00 withdrawn, which means a R500,00 cash withdrawal will cost you R9,35 (R3,85 + 5 x R1,10). 5 pricing options – at a glance To get the most out of your banking, choose the product and pricing option that best suits your needs and your pocket. As your needs change, re-look your options. When choosing a transactional account, you can choose between various pricing options. 1. Standard Fee This is the Pay As You Transact pricing option, where you are charged a Standard Fee for every transaction you make. 2. Value Bundles™ Fee You pay an affordable, fixed monthly fee for as little as R79,00 for a set number of transactions as part of your Value Bundle™. Unused transactions roll over to the next month. Various value-adds are included. 3. Rebate Banking Rebate Banking is a fee refund; it means you get all or part of a fee paid back to you as cash. You will not pay banking fees on certain transactions if you keep a set minimum balance in your account throughout the month. 4. Management Fee This fee option allows you to perform a basket of transactions for a fixed monthly fee. 5. EasyFee EasyFee is a management fee option where you pay a monthly fee based on the number of selected transactions you do each month. It offers you different pricing options to choose from, each with a set number of selected transactions. Once you’ve used all your set transactions you’re charged a single fee per selected transaction and no penalty fee. 02 Basic Transactional Accounts TIP: Choose the right product that gives you what you need and suits your budget, so you don’t pay for benefits you never use or need. A Basic Transactional Account is ideal if you only need to perform basic transactions such as Purchases and withdrawals. The fees on these accounts are simple to understand and are priced very affordably. 03 Mzansi Transact Prepaid Debit Card Transaction Type Fee Monthly Fees Once-off Card Fee R30,00 Monthly Administration Fee (1) No charge Deposits (2) Cheque Deposit: Branch Counter 2,5% Cheque Deposit: Absa ATM 2,5% Cash Deposit: Branch Counter 2,5% Cash Deposit: Absa ATM 2,5% Cash Withdrawals Branch Counter No charge Absa ATM No charge Point-of-Sale (POS) No charge Absa-supported ATM No charge Saswitch ATM No charge Overseas ATM/POS N/A Post Office Terminal No charge Purchases Prepaid Top-up at Absa ATM or POS No charge POS – Local No charge POS – Overseas N/A Account Payments and Funds Transfers Account Payment N/A Debit and Stop Orders • Internal • External N/A N/A Funds Transfers N/A CashSend TM (Absa ATM) No charge Absa Prepaid Debit Card The Absa Prepaid Debit Card is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to bank, without the risk of carrying cash.
