Ha Long Bay is in Quang Ninh Provine. It has many islands and caves. The islands are named after things around us! In the bay you can find Rooster and Hen Island (Trong Mai Island) and even Man’s Head Island (Dau Nguoi Island). You must take a boat ride around the island- it’s essential! Tuan Chau is the biggest island in Ha Long Bay. There you can enjoy great Vietnamese seafood. You can watch traditional dance. You can join exciting activities. Ha Long Bay is Vietnam’s most beautiful natural wonder.

Hue is the oldest city in Central Viet Nam. It’s near Da Nang, but it’s more interesting than Da Nang! It also has the most famous river in Central Viet Nam- the Perfume River. You should take a trip on the river, and you must visit the Imperial City. There you can find meseums, galleries, and temples. It’s Hue’s greatest attraction. But many people travel here just for the cuisine- the food is really good.

It’s rainy in Hue, so remember to bring an umbrella!

Using a dictionary- Guessing words in context

Before you look up a word in a dictionary, try to guess its meaning in its context.

WATER PUPPETRY

Have you ever seen a water puppet show? It is so special and fantastic. It is a unique Vietnamese tradition. Children love the performance, and tourists who comes Viet Nam greatly enjoy this kind of art.

Water puppetry (Múa rối nước) is a traditional art form. It began in the 11th century. It originated in the villages of the Red r Delta of North Viet Nam. The show is performed in a pool. The puppets are supported by strings under the water and controlled by the puppeteers behind a screen, so they appear to be moving on the water. The suppets are made from wood and then painted.

The themes of the puppet shows are rural: the performances show everyday life in the countryside folk tales. There are stories about rice farming, fishing and Vietnamese village festivals.

PHO- A POPULAR DISH IN HA NOI

Among the many special dishes in ha Noi, pho is the most popular. It is a special kind of Vietnamese soup. We can enjoy pho for all kind of meals during the day, from breakfast to dinner, and even for a late night

snack. Pho has a very special taste. The rice noodles are made from the best variety of rice. The broth for pho bo ( beef noodle soup) is made by stewing the bones of cows for a long time in a large pot. The broth for another kind of pho, pho ga (chicken noodle soup) is made by stewing chicken bones. The chicken meat served with pho ga is boneless and cut into thin slices… It’s so delicious!

The woman replied, “You look like my friend Adriana. You have the same face and the same hair. Is Adriana your sister?” Tamara said that she did not have a sister called Adriana. But she was interested in this girl Adriana. Finally she asked someone for Adriana’s email address.

When Tamara wrote to Adriana, she found out that they both had the same birthday, they looked the same and both of them were from

Mexico.When Tamara went to live with the family in Manhattan, Adriana moved to Long Island to live with a family there. It had to be true!
