4.1.1 Status of Water from Cau River in Thai Nguyen city.
With a length of 288 km, Cau is important rivers in the Pacific and river system is the lifeline waterway economic cohesion - between local culture with the annual total water volume of about 4.5 billion m3. However, in the course of mining resources of economic development, Basin of Ca River increasingly contaminated by mineral exploitation, villages and industrial zones spread across six provinces where the river flows through.
The result of environmental quality monitoring of surface water basins in Thai Nguyen of Environmental Monitoring Center (VEA) showed that water quality in the middle and lower reaches of Cau River. Cau River is contamination by some organic pollutants, suspended solids and locally, oil pollution from the villages, industrial parks, urban areas, from mining, agricultural activities industry.
4.1.2. The situation of water from Cau River flows through Thai Nguyen.
On the Cau River and the main branch of the river, we performed 9 times in 3 observation points.
Place 1: Bridge Cao Ngan of Son Cam commune, Phu Luong District, Thai Nguyen City.
Son Cam is a commune of Phu Luong District, Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam.
This is the southernmost commune and has the largest population in the district. Son Cam is located along Cau River, the main river in Thai Nguyen province. Son Cam commune
24 has a developed economy than other communes in Phu Luong district. Son Cam commune located near coal mines and coal mines in Khanh Hoa and Ba Son commune people working in the coal mines, coal mines but also caused some consequences such as environmental pollution or subsidence home door or declining groundwater. In the commune, Son Cam also has coking factory.

Comment: Clips Cau River of Son Cam Communce flows through relatively good Water contaminated with suspended solids (TSS), the concentration of TSS up to 68 mg/l.
25 Exceeded 1.07 times the QCVN 08: 2008 / BTNMT B1 level. In addition, other standards are reached A. (quality of surface water used for irrigation).
Place 2: Bridge Gia Bay of Dong Bam Commune, Thai Nguyen City.
Dong Bam is a suburban communes of Thai Nguyen city, separated from downtown by part of the Cau River. Dong Bam communes are planning a new urban area of Thai Nguyen city. The new urban projects are being implemented here.

Place 3: Huong Thac Dam, Gia Sang Ward, Thai Nguyen City.
Gia Sang Ward is located in the southeast city of Thai Nguyen. Industry, trade and services at Gia Sang Ward have large factories such as steel rolling factory Gia Sang of Thai Nguyen Steel Company, JSC Thai Hung steel trade. Therefore, trade and services are developed.

27 Comment: The quality of river water flowing through the bridge area municipality Thai Nguyen City has local light pollution in some stretches by parameters coliform and COD. Specifically, the following paragraph from the confluence river has COD concentration ranged from 9,1- 18mg / l and 1.2 to 1.9 times exceeded QCVN 08: 2008 / BTNMT level A1, reaching QCVN 08: 2008 / A2 level BTNMT. Thac Huong Dam section before point index to 7800MPN coliform / 1000 ml and 1.2 times exceeded QCVN 08: 2008 / BTNMT the Bl.
Cau river water of quality downstream to the confluence area rippling stream Ba Da Dam and later the confluence stream Thac Huong Street does not guarantee use of the purposes specified in QCVN 08: 2008 / BTNMT, the other river sections on the river bridge flows through the Thai Nguyen city area has relatively good water quality assurance purposes of domestic use when compared with NTR 08: 2008 / BTNMT level 2.
