3. OVERALL ASSESSMENT OF MOTIVATION AT NEW WORLD SAIGON HOTEL
3.1. Salary, bonus and remuneration policies at New World Saigon Hotel

Sick leave:
Associate herself/himself:
75% salary entitlement for sick leave day
30 days in a year: payment for social insurance <15 years
40 days in a year: 15 years<= payment for social insurance < 30 years
60 days in a year: 30 years<= payment for social insurance Associate’s Children:
75% salary entitlement for sick leave day
20 days in a year if the child is under 3 years old
15 days in a year if the child is from 3 to under 7 years old.
When either mother or father is run of sick leave and their child is still sick, the other can continue taking sick leave (both parents contribute insurance)
Maternity leave:
Maternity leave: 6 months
Maternity salary: 6 months + 2 months of government minimum salary rate effective from 01 July 2018 (currently valued of VND 2,780,000)
5 days in 5 separate months for pregnancy check-up
Marriage leaves: 03 days (associate own marriage) 01 day (associate’s children marriage)
Bereavement leave: If the following relative pass away:
Parents, Parent’s in-laws, spouse or children: 03 days
Funeral visit and condolence package valued at VND 1,500,000.
MEDICAL:

ASSOCIATES FACILITIES

50% discount for food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at all hotel outlets for a party of up twenty (20) people including children aged from 6 years old and above.
The associate must be one of the guests dining for the discount to apply.
For buffets, children aged from 6 to 11 years old are offered 20% discount off the published children’s buffet rack rates.
20% discount for banquet functions (full package). The associate should be one of the main organizers who organize the party event for him/herself or core family including spouse and children, parents, and spouse’s parents.
30% discount for all pastry products at the hotel bakery shop. Limited to 4 cakes a month per associate.
No discount will be given on special promotions or discounted menus such as Christmas; Thanksgiving, Mother/Father Day, Tet, Dim Sum promotion, etc.
Reservation should be at least 24 hours in advance with the restaurant subject to availability and hotel operations. All bookings should be made directly to respective hotel outlet.
SERVICE CHARGE, BONUSES & GIFTS:
1. Monthly Service Charge: equal for every local ate and based on hotel business. No service charge for sick leave, maternity leave and no pay periods.
2. Public Holiday bonus: USD 35 per holiday of the following celebration:

3. Guaranteed Year End Bonus: 1month basic salary or pro-rata for less than a year of service.
4. Hospitalized visit gift: VND 1,000,000 in cash.

7. Mid – Autumn Festival: A moon cake set of for each depending on hotel business re

In general, salary, bonus and welfare regimes are always improved by the hotel management to provide the good benefits for all of staffs. Total day offs and annual leave of employees have been adjusted reasonable. Hotel organizes many programs for staffs to active. The work of encouragement and reward has more improvements.
