- Dựng để phụ hoạ lại ý khẳng định của một người khỏc tương đương với cõu tiếng việt “cũng thế ” và người ta sẽ dựng so và too trong cấu trỳc này.
- Động từ to be được phộp dựng trực tiếp, cỏc động từ thường dựng với trợđộng từ to do, cỏc động từ ở thời kộp (future, perfect, progressive) dựng với chớnh động từ của nú.
- Khi be được sử dụng trong mệnh đề chớnh thỡ thời của động từ be sử dụng trong cõu phụ hoạ cũng phải cựng thời với be ở mệnh đề chớnh.

- Khi một động từ ở thể kộp (auxilary + verb), vớ dụ, will go, should do, has done, have written, must examine, vv... xuất hiện trong mệnh đề chớnh thỡ trợ động từ của mệnh đề chớnh được sử dụng ở dạng khẳng định, và chủ ngữ và động từ phải hoà hợp.
