Theo dõi sau mổ hoặc sau nong van hai lá phải tiến hμnh ít nhất 1 năm/1 lần, hoặc nhanh hơn nếu nh− xuất hiện triệu chứng lâm sμng, nhất lμ khi có các dấu hiệu gợi ý có tái hẹp van hai lá hoặc hở van hai lá phối hợp. Siêu âm tim cần đ−ợc lμm định kỳ để theo dõi diễn biến lâm sμng của bệnh nhân.
