grammar and writing practice book grade 5 pdf

My friend and I ventured deep into the forest, exploring its hidden trails. As darkness enveloped the surroundings, we stumbled upon an eerie clearing. An abandoned campsite sent shivers down our spines, its haunting emptiness casting a sinister shadow over the scene. We huddled together, frightened by the whispers of the wind through the trees. Shadows danced around us, taking on grotesque forms that made our hearts pound. We ran towards the campsite, seeking refuge within its broken walls. Hiding in the shadows, we listened intently for any signs of danger. Time seemed to slow down as we held our breaths and waited. Suddenly, a piercing sound shattered the silence, sending us sprawling. We froze, our hearts racing. As the sound faded into the night, we emerged from our hiding place, our senses heightened. We tiptoed cautiously around the site, every creak and crack making us jump. The night felt endless, filled with fear and uncertainty.
