down on the sand to enjoy beautiful sunlight and the clear blue sky We also enjoyed delicious seafood and drank fresh coconuts In the evening, we rented a bicycle to explore the city, we cycled along the coast, enjoyed the fresh air here, then we cycled into the small streets, looking for the street food - a specialty there + The weather during the time we stayed was really good and the local people were friendly We took many photographs to save our memorable vacation and bought a lot of souvenirs, too I just had so many good memories of that whole trip + Everything was great, but what made the trip even greater was the fact that I was able to build a stronger relationships with my new colleagues *** I really look forward to the next vacation of company 8 TOPIC 4: Describe your family *** I live in Binh Duong with my small family, and there are of us living together + My father is a worker, he works in a furniture factory He is gentle, funny and kind He often helps people in the neighborhood repair furniture in his free time + My mother is the principal of an elementary school near our house She is short and a little bit chubby, and she has a rather round face that make her look younger than her real age She is always busy with her work, even on the weekends she still must attend professional training or meeting However, she still tries to arrange her work to spend as much time on her family as possible + My grandmother is 70 years old this year, but she is still very well You can drive a motorbike by yourself to go out She is a humorous person and loves labor She has a small garden, and we love to follow her to the garden together, growing and harvesting crops together While gardening, she will tell us stories about her life, it’s very interesting She is funny and always have some jokes that make the whole family laugh She takes a very good care of the house since my mother does not have much time, and her food are both delicious and eye – catching + I have a little sister who is much younger than me I am now 28, and she is only 20 But now she is much taller than me My height is just under her chin a little bit + We all have a busy lives in day However in the evening after dinner, we sit together in the living-room talking, sometimes watching a funny movie or talking together to share ups and downs in life + Even though my family is a small family, fortunately we have many relatives nearby Their homes are all near mine, in the same ward, so we often see each other very often We often get together for a birthday party, anniversary, wedding, or Tet holiday It was really crowded and the atmosphere became extremely noisy *** I love my family, I will always try my best to be a good person to make them proud 9 TOPIC 5: Describe your necessary works I clean my house a little bit, and then I prepare everything for the next day such as clothes and documentary + After having some simple snacks and a cup of hot milk, I brush my teeth and finally go to sleep, I go to bed late at around 11 ~ 12 o’clock + My day seems to be boring and it is only really different on the weekends I have days off: Saturday and Sunday So I have more time to outdoor activities like swimming or traveling + I quite enjoy traveling, but since I don't have much time to go to far places, I choose to explore some closer places, these trips are usually only to days I often travel to some tourist attraction or museum in Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Vung Tau, … + I feel that participating in outdoor activities is very useful, you will meet more people, make more friends, and learn more and better things 10 *** Overall, my day seems to be boring compare to others, but I am totally satisfied with it 11 TOPIC 6: Describe your study *** From primary school to bad at + Although the studies were hard, we had time to have fun together whenever we could, classmates used to tease each other, the teachers were also very funny *** I was very happy to be at this school *** When I went to university, I moved to HCMC for years, I studied at HS University, my major is Business Administration + This is the first time I have to live away from home and study in a completely new environment At first it was a bit difficult to adapt to the new environment, but everything was fine + In University, I studied subjects such as: Economic Mathematics, Statistical Probability, Finance and Monetary Finance, Leadership Arts, Communication Skills, English, Computer, Physical Education, etc 12 + I like to learn the subjects about skills the most, such as remote parts of the country to help the frail old and the poor *** Going to college has helped me gain the knowledge and skills I need for my current job *** After graduating from university, I returned to my hometown, BD, to work + My current job is as a _ in a company (nghề nghiệp tên cty) + My company really near my house, it’s just take minutes to go there This is a Vietnamese company, our products are mainly exported to Europ, Aus and USA markets + My work is not too busy either It starts at o’clock, we have a hour lunch break from 11:00 to 12:00 Then we try to finish our work of a day quickly so we are able to leave at PM Sometimes when there are too many things for us to solve, my room has to stay over PM to make sure everything is fine before we can go home + We produce indoor and outdoor ceramic plant with a variety of decorative design I have been in this ceramic field for about a year, there are still many things that I need to learn more about + There is a bit of difficulty in this job that I have to face, that is my customers are mostly foreigners, I have to use English in communication, chat or mail, but my English is not so good I still have to try to learn English more to be able to communicate fluently + I really like my current job, it has a good working environment, the colleagues are friendly and always ready to help each other My boss is a wonderful women, she has a lot of experience in this field, and willing to share and teach me *** I think I'll be working here for a long time 13 TOPIC 7: Describe your hometown *** I was born and a complex of temples, mountain, river, hotel, entertainment area Binh Duong is also famous for skilful craftworks villages: ceramics, pottery and lacquer, etc If you are curious about how to make these stuffs manually, you should pay a visit to Binh Duong Province, Tuong Binh Hiep Binh Lacquer village are recommended places to visit when you travel to Vietnam + You don't need to worry about accommodation since there are so many hotels with competitive price and service for you to choose + And the best thing that I love most about my hometown is the local people, the Binh Duong people are not picky, not stylish, not too romantic, nor too hasty They have a simple and sincere lifestyle They are very friendly and helpful Talking with them will help you know more about the local customs and culture *** I'm always proud of my hometown and I hope it will develop better day by day 14 TOPIC 8: Describe your favourite weather *** I live in Binh Duong, a province in the South of Vietnam The weather here does not have four seasons like elsewhere, we only have two seasons a year: rainy season and dry season I prefer the Dry season *** It normally occurs from April to September but, now due to pollution, it may occur differently in different sorts of part of the nation + Interestingly, I always like hot summer days and, I also love green grass, hot air, and more other things + In Dry season, I usually a different type of activities such as, I go outside with friends and eat ice cream as well as, also enjoy cold coffee, soft drink and shakes with it, I spend a lot of time with family + Moreover, I and my family visit swimming pool and waterpark One waterpark near to my house its name is Binh Duong Water park, there are a lot of water activities When I go there I usually enjoy waterslides, rain dance, swimming, and delicious food also + With it, I love hot weather because I like to wear dresses, swimsuit, shorts and more other summer clothes As well as, in the afternoon I sit in the room and listen to pop music and eat some light snacks + On the other hand, I not like rainy weather because that time I can’t go outside in a beautiful dresses as well, I can’t eat cold food as well, I also don’t like to wear a raincoat on the dresses + Furthermore, in Dry season that time days are too long and, easily visit other places and I normally visit Vung Tau beach, Nha Trang beach or Phu Quoc Island and enjoy a lot with friends *** These are the main reasons I most prefer to hot weather/ dry season 15 TOPIC 9: Describe a tourist attraction you once visited *** Well, Today, I am going to tell you about an attraction that I visited You know, That is Vung Tau beach + To most tourists, Vung Tau is most interesting and loved for its extensive beaches Tourists always prefer sightseeing at Front Beach (Bai Truoc) to go swimming in Back Beach (Bai Sau) + As not so far from Ho Chi Minh City (is just about 120 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City), it is a favorite resort & entertainment destination for those who wish to hide away from the busy city and entertain themselves in a real way *** This year’s summer vacation, I had a trip to Vung Tau – Front beach with my new colleagues Front Beach is located in the center of Vung Tau City with high population density and busy commercial areas, which leads to huge pollution in Front Beach Therefore, if you want to swim and bathe, Back Beach is the more suitable place However, Front Beach is still the ideal place to see the sunset and walk along the beach + We stayed there for days at a small but convenient hostel - First day, we took the time to explore places: Vung Tau Lighthouse and Statue of Jesus Christ These are typical buildings that you should visit when visiting VT, it has a great view where you reach the top I took a lot of pictures here Vung Tau Lighthouse: Located in the top of Small Mountain, Vung Tau Lighthouse is wellknown for its impressive architecture colored in white When you reach to the balcony at the top of the lighthouse, you can see the 360-degree vista of the Vung Tau City and the sea Statue of Jesus Christ: Statue of Jesus Christ is the highest statue in Asia with the height of 32 meters and also the mini version of Statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil You have to walk through 1000 steps to get to the foot of the statue and a spiral staircase with 133 steps to get to the hands of the statue where you can enjoy the best view of the sea and Vung Tau City - The next day, we got up early to see the sunrise on the beach then we went to a seafood market,
