PG-Flex micro-DLC System ADC's PG-Flex micro-DLC provides feeder (F1), distribution (F2) or drop "pair relief" in areas of the network suffering from copper pair shortages. It enables Local Exchange Carriers (LECs) to quickly and cost-effective- ly meet held order demands for POTS or ISDN services in these areas. PG-Flex is a far superior alternative to expensive and time consuming alternatives of cable rearrange- ments, laying more cable or installing a large capacity Digital Loop Carrier (DLC) system. The PG-Flex micro-DLC is a highly versatile platform supporting both indoor and out- door pair relief applications. Remote termi- nals (RTs), which are deployed in 24-channel increments, are available in 24, 48 and 96- channel configurations. Outside plant hard- ened enclosures include 24/48-channel ver- sions with complete lightning protection for installation at crossboxes or existing DLC/SLC cabinets. Indoor RTs, available in 24/48/96-channel versions, provide a cost- effective alternative to standard D4 channel banks. All PG-Flex remotes are line-powered reducing the need for costly batteries and UPS systems. Features: • Line powered and environmentally hardened remote terminals • Requires no local power or battery supplies • Traditional HDSL transmission architecture • 24-channel system architecture • Extended temperature rating • Supports POTS and ISDN services • Supports MLT testing (TR-909) • Indoor and outdoor specific remotes • TR-57 (VF) switch interface • Supports crisis/temporary service needs 1/02 • 100040PR PG-Flex Subscriber Carrier System Application www.adc.com • +1-952-938-8080 2 Figure 1.
