- By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to talk about what they want to buy and to prepare for a typhoon

II Warm-up (5’)

Brainstorming

- Have sts think about what they to prepare for a typhoon

- Get sts to go to the board and write down + What should we when there is a typhoon? + Do you know anything about earthquakes? + Are there any earthquakes in Vietnam? + in which countries earthquakes usually occur?

(Can use Vietnamese to express their ideas)

III New lesson

Step Pre-speaking (12’) Act Introduce the new words

- Listen, guess its meaning and copy down - Repeat chorally , individually

- Cut some branches of high trees in the garden or around the house

1.Why we need to buy food ? Because the market will be closed and no food will be available

3 Why we need to buy candles ? Because there may be a power cut Why we need to fill all buckets with water? Because water pipes may be damaged and we’ll not have enough water to use right after the typhoon. A: I think we should buy some candles and matches before a typhoon

B: Yes, I agree with you Because there maybe a power cut when the wind is strong
