(2)Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1 Warm - up (5’)
- Eliciting question:
a Do you like playing video games? b How often you play video games? c Where you often play video games?
- Look at the posters shown by the teacher
2 Presentation (15’) - Introduce the topic
- Show them some posters advertising some amusement centers and sport centers
- Ask them to tell about the content of each poster
- Let them talk to one another about their favorite hobby
a What can you see in the picture? ( amusement center )
b Are there any amusement centers in your neighborhood?
c Do you often go an amusement center? d What you see / there?
- Tell them about the content of the dialogue they’re going to listen then: Lan and Nam are talking about Video Games
- Try to express each poster by your own words
- Talk to one another about one’s hobby
- Listen to the introduction about the dialogue
3 Practice (17’) + Activity 1:
- Let them listen to the dialogue twice
- Ask them to practice the dialogue with their partner
- Ask questions to elicit the meaning of the words: video, addictive, arcade
- Mention how to express the advice Use:
