 Aim: By the end of the lesson, Sts have a knowledge of Nam Cat Tien national park and know how to protect the environment

Unit 10 Conservation

- Greetings

- Check the attendance of the class

- T prepares pictures: a

customer, a nurse, a computer, a dictionary and a harpoon gun - T gives instructions and makes a model example

- T calls one St to come to the board and T shows one picture to only this St ( Don’t let the whole class know what it is )

- The responsibility of this St is to explain in order for the class to guess the name of the thing or person in the picture

- The game continues with other students

- T gives scores for Sts who give understandable explanations Expected answers

3 Match the suitable solutions to these problems

Solutions

- Control the burning of forest - Control the cutting down of trees - Clean up the beach

- Reducing using cars and motorbikes

- Ban wildlife poaching and trading - Establish national parks where animals and plants can be protected

- T prepares pictures: forest fire, deforestation, air pollution, oil spill and rare animals

- T sticks these pictures on the board and asks Sts these questions

- T writes the answers on the board

Expected answers:

2) Reasons

- People burn forest to make way for farmland

- People cut trees to get wood - Exhaust from factories and vehicles are released into the air - There’s accident in the sea - Habitats of animals are destroyed

- T reads aloud one by one solution for the whole class to follow
