Unit 13 SEAGame Speaking Objective: Skills: Teaching aids: Stage - By the end of the lesson, students are able to express attitudes towards something - By the end of the lesson, students feel more confident talking about something - Speaking: expressing attitudes towards something; sharing ideas - handouts Procedure Aims I Warm- up Game: How they feel? - Arrange SS to work in two or four groups - Present the faces, one at a time, and ask SS to say how one point - The first group to call out the correct expression wins one point - The group with the most point wins the game - Keep a running total of points for each group on the board - Declare the winner Transition: Facial expressions can tell us how we feel, what our attitudes are But we often use language together with body language To day we will practice expressing attitudes in English - Write on the board: Unit 13 Speaking- Expressing attitudes toward the results of SEA II Pre- Game speaking Introducing useful language - Tell SS to read the expression given in the box and add more - Note down SS ideas on the board and add more if any - Have SS listen to you and repeat if necessary - Remind SS of the intonation Useful Expressions o Expressing surprise or excitement : (How) Wonderful!
