Date of preparing: 8/ 3/ 2018 Week 25 Period 49 UNIT 10 LETTER W Lesson I Objectives: Knowledge: : By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  Read and say the three Wwwordscorrectly  Recognize and say an extra Ww word correctly Vocabulary: Well, watch, window, watermelon Skills: - Develop Ss reading, writing, speaking and listening skills Attitude: Educate Sts to love their lesson Work hard III TEACHING AIDS: Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks II TEACHING METHODS: - Work in pairs , individual, in groups … IV PROCEDURE: Class organization: - Greeting: Good morning/ Good afternoon How are you? - Checking for the students’ attendence: Class Date of teaching Absent students 2A 12/3/ 2018 ………………………………………………… ………………………………………………… Warm up :5’ Activity: Hot cards  Divide the class into teams (depends on the desk rows in the classroom)  Hand out a phonics card to the first student of each team/ row  Play the song from Unit (Track 65), the first students pass the phonics cards to the next one in their team/ row When the card comes to the last student of each team/ row, pass it backward  Pause the song, the students holding the phonics cards must name them  Give one point for the correct answer  Teacher can change the cards or hand out some more cards as necessary  The team with the most points wins New lesson Teacher’s and students’ activities * Activity 1: 13’ – apply information technology Content Colour the things that  Ask the students to take out their colour pencils/ begin with the w sound crayons  Point to the pictures and elicit the sounds and word for each  Ask the students to colour the items that begin with the /w/ sound, use any colour they like  Go around the classroom providing any necessary help Activity (15’) Listen, point and  Show the students the watermelon phonics card Point repeat Colour the to it and say: /w/ - watermelon Ask them to repeat pictures of the words that  Mime eating watermelon and say: /w/ - watermelon start with the w sound Encourage the students to the same Say the w words  Say the letter The students perform the action and say the letter and the word (if they can)  Play the CD The students listen, point to and repeat the word  Point to the picture and have students name them  Allow the students some time to colour in the pictures of words start with the /w/ sound  Go around the classroom providing any necessary help Activity: Craftwork  Ask the students to take out their notebooks  Ask them to choose one word then draw the letter W and the picture of the item in their notebooks  Tell them to decorate the letter and the picture  The first three students who finish will present their letters and pictures to the class Consolidation: (3’) What’s the content of the lesson?
