WEEK 26 Date of preparing: 15/3/2019 PERIOD 51-52 Unit 11 – LeTTER X LESSON 1-2 I AIMS: Knowledge:By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  Recognize and say the three Xx words correctly  Do the corresponding actions  Practice reading skills  Sing letter Xx song: Vocabulary: Ox, box, taxi Sight words : Stop, the, , is, in, a, please Skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing skill 3.Attitude: Recognize and pronounce the letter X and its sound (Requirements: students with disability can see and practise ) II TEACHING AIDS - Teacher’s:i-Learn My Phonics Grade , lesson plan, CD Phonics cards - Students’: Pupil’s Book –p.9 i-Learn My Phonics Grade 2, p.50 Activity book II.TEACHING METHODS - Communicative approach - Techniques: + Ask and answer (say individually) + Work in pairs/ groups Discuss IV PROCEDURES:Time: 40mins Organization: (2mins ) - Greeting - Checking for the students' attendance Class Date of teaching Absent Student 2A 2B 2C 2E 2.Warm up:(5mins) Have students listen to the chant in lesson and sing along Repeat the chant without the CD, keep the rhythm by clapping their hands or snapping their fingers 3.Newlesson Teacher’s and Students’ activities Content Activity 1.Listen, point and repeat .Listen, point and repeat Colour (Track Colour 55): Introduction of letter X, its sound and how to pronounce the words beginning with Xx (6 mins)  Show the students the ox phonic card Point to it and say: /x/ The students repeat  Then say /x/- ox The students repeat  Put the phonics card on the board Mime driving a van and say: /x/- box Encourage the students to the same Ask students with disability to say the words out loud Requirements: students with disability can see and practise Activity 2 Listen and point Choose : Read the words in sentence (6 mins)  Point to the ox and say: Stop the ox! The students repeat  Follow the same procedure for box and the taxi  Play the CD The students listen and point  Say: Stop the ox! Ask the students to point to the corresponding item in the picture Repeat with the rest of the items in random order  Ask the students to color the ox,box and taxi using any color they like  Go around the classroom asking students to name the item they are coloring Ask students with disability trace and colour the letter Xx ox: bò box : hộp taxi: xe taxi 2.Listen and point Colour Stop the ox! Activity 4 Listen Read Along (Track 70) (6 mins)  Ask: Can you see /ks/- ox? Stop the ox, please! Look! The ox in a box is in a taxi! Stop the taxi, please! Song Stop the taxi !
