Changing Line Spacing
Line spacing refers to the amount of space between lines of typed text, measured from the baseline of one line to the baseline of the next. The baseline is where the bottom of the letters line up
Word automatically adjusts the amount of space between lines according to the size of the characters being used. However, you can also specify that line spacing be set to an exact point size
You can set line spacing using one of the following methods:
On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click (Line and Paragraph Spacing); or
press the shortcut key for the following commonly used line spacing options:
Single +
OneandaHalf + OneandaHalf +
Setting Paragraph Spacing
Paragraph spacing refers to the amount of space between paragraphs of text. Although you can press to insert blank lines, most published documents are set up to insert a specific amount of space between paragraphs which reduces the amount of white space on a page and ensures that all the paragraph spacing in the document is consistent
To set or change the paragraph spacing, on the Page Layout tab, in the Paragraph group, set the spacing as required

Place the cursor anywhere in the Comets paragraph. (Yes, even a oneword line of text can be a paragraph.) On the Page Layout tab, in the Paragraph group, click the up arrow in the Before box twice to change this setting to 12pt
Select the text from Asteroids to the last bullet point for Comets. Click the Home tab, and in the Paragraph group, click the Line Spacing button
