Teaching plan- English 8 Preparing date: Teaching date: Class 8A: Class 8C: Period 54 Unit 9 : a first-aid course Lesson 1 : Listen and read( P. 80-81) I/ Objectives : - By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to 1. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: emergency, ambulance, concious, wound,… - Language: - Will to make resquests 2. Skills: Target skill: reading - Develop reading skill about how togive first-aid. - Read and select the topics covered in the dialogue. 3. Attitude: Students take an active part giving first-aid instructions. II/ Preparations - Teacher: Textbook, disc, projector, computer - Ss: textbook, school things III Anticipated problems: There may be a lot of new words. IV/ Procedure : Teacher’s & students’ activities Board display I. Warm up: ( 4’)Group work What would you do in these situations which require first-aid? The picture ( 80) will help you II. New lesson: (34’) Pair work Monday, December27 th 2010 Unit 9 : a first-aid course Lesson 1 :Listen and read(P. 80,81) Prepared by Ha Thi Anh Thu Teaching plan- English 8 I. Presentation: - drawing -When do we need an ambulance ? - What ‘s “ bat tinh “ in English ? - When you have a cut, the cut will ( bleed ) * Check : slap the board Gap fill prediction: Look at the paragraph on the board. You have to predict the words in the gaps. Then some of you go to the board and write your words. II. Practice: Set the scene: T introduces the dialogue: You have to open your books and listen to the tape while reading the dialogue . After that you check your predictions are right or not.
