By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to:

- Use the lexical items related to the topic "Hobbies";

- Pronounce correctly the sounds /ə/ and /ɜ:/ in isolation and in context;

- Use the present simple, the future simple and verbs of liking + V_ing correctly and appropriately

B CONTENT: Vocabulary: hobbies: collecting dolls/ glass bottles, mountain climbing, taking photos, doing gymnastics, etc

Grammar: The present simple tense; The future simple and Verbs of liking + V_ing

Pronunciation: sounds /ə/ and /ɜ:/

C MATERIALS: course book, CD, CD player

Work arrangements: Individuals, pairs, groups, T-WC

Anticipated problems: some difficult collocations: the gardening, take photos, gymnastics; long sound and short sound /ə/ and /ɜ:/

Students work in pair to ask and answer the questions

Ask students to work in groups to play the guessing game One student is the group leader who records other students’ points One student is the group secretary who writes down other students’ hobbies

When time is up, call on some group secretaries to share the group’s hobbies
