Unit 10 : OUR HOUSES IN THE FUTURE Lesson1 - GETTING STARTED : What nice photos!

I.OBJECTIVES: By the end of this Unit, students can know more about types of houses, modern appliances and how they can help us

II PREPARATION : sub -board, pictures, cassette

III TECHNIQUES: Matching, pair work, group work, individuals, communicative approach

III PROCEDURES:

-T writes the unit title on the board Ask SS: * Do you live in a house or in an apartment? * What appliances are there in your houses? * What furniture does your house have?

* What does a washing machine, a dish washer, a T.V help you?

à T introduces some words about appliances and furniture for students ( washing machine, dishwasher, wireless T.V, help SO with St, solar energy)

-T Shows the picture of Getting started, asks : * Who are they? ( Nick and Phong)

* What is Phong doing? (drawing a picture)

Warm up: Network

- Ss look at the pictures of a wireless T.V, an automatic dishwasher, a modern fridge, an automatic washing machine, a hi-tech robot and tell the names of the appliances - T plays the recording and let SS repeat

them

Activity 1: Exercise 1

- T explains how to this task Then ask Ss individually to put the words into correct columns

- Ask Ss to give more words about appliances

Lesson3 - A CLOSER LOOK 2

I.OBJECTIVES: By the end of this Unit, students can use will for the future and Modal verb MIGHT for a unsure possibility in the future

II PREPARATION : sub -board, pictures, cassette III TECHNIQUES: pair work, communicative approach. III PROCEDURES:

I Objectives:
