2 Part 1: Look, listen and repeat

-Have pupils open their books to Page 52

-Ask pupils the names of the characters by answering the questions: Who is she? And what are they doing? -Tell them that they are going to hear Linda and robot talk about Linda’s school things by using two character puppets of to present the situation

-Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen the text, and point to the appropriate line in their books

-Ask pupils new words and explain the meaning of the language practiced

-Read the new words and have pupils read in chorus, individuals

-Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines a few times

-Have pupils read in groups, pairs

-Call on some pairs to play roles at the front of the class

- Tell them they are going to learn how to produce the sound of the letter /r/ in the word

- Put the piece of paper with the chant from Page 56 written on it on the board

-Tell pupils that they are going to chant

-Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen as they read Clap the syllables

- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat each line of the chant and clap the syllables

- Write the chant on page 56 and learn by heart.
