a) Thể khẳng định (Affirmative form)

hì khứ tiếp diễn dùng để diễn tả:

a) Hành động xảy thời điểm xác định khứ

Ex: What were you doing at this time yesterday? Hôm qua, vào anh dang làm gì?

b) Hành động xảy kéo dài khoảng thời gian xác định khứ

Ex: I was painting all day yesterday ôi vẽ su t ngày hôm qua

c) Một hành động xảy diễn biến liên tục từ đầu đến cuối kiện, toàn thời gian xếp trước thực cách trọn vẹn

d) Hành động diễn khứ hành động khác xảy đến thường được nối với liên từ when, while (dùng past progressive cho hành động xảy ra thời gian dài past simple cho hành động xảy thời gian ngắn)

- Khi hai hành động xảy lúc, thời gian khứ ta dùng khứ tiếp diễn cho hai hành động tình hu ng thường có liên t while để n i hai câu

3 Regular verbs and irregular verb (Động từ có qui tắc động từ bất qui tắc) 1) Regular verbs

hì khứ đơn động t có qui tắc thành lập cách thêm ed vào động t nguyên mẫu

- to stay —> stayed (ở)

 Một số qui tắc thêm “ed” vào động từ nguyên mẫu:

- Các động t có qui tắc tận e ta thêm d - love —> loved (yêu)

- Khi động t có âm kết thúc dạng phụ âm-nguyên âm-phụ âm Nếu động t âm tiết (hay âm tiết nhấn âm đọc) ta gấp đôi phụ âm cu i thêm ed vào

- stop —> stopped (ng ng); plan —> planned (dự định)

* Còn động t khơng nhấn âm vào âm kết thúc dạng phụ âm-nguyên âm- phụ âm đọc ta cần thêm ed vào sau động t

- open —> opened (mở); visit —> visited (viếng); listen —> listened (nghe) happen — > happened (xảy ra)

- Các động t tận y theo sau phụ âm đổi y thành i trước thêm ed

2) Irregular verbs
