**Cách thành lập:

(+) S + am/ is/ are + V_ing + A/C/O (-) S + am/ is/ are + not + V_ing + A/C/O (?) Am/Is/Are +S + V_ing + A/C/O?

* TOBE có hình thức gồm: AM/IS/ARE

Quy định: I với am, he/she/it……is, you/we/they…… are

Viết tắt: is not…….isn’t / are not………aren’t / I am not……I’m not

1 Khẳng định: S + am/ is/ are + V-ing… Trong đó: S (subject): Chủ ngữ

am/ is/ are: dạng động từ “to be” V-ing: động từ thêm “–ing”

CHÚ Ý: - S = I + am - S = He/ She/ It + is - S = We/ You/ They + are Ví dụ:

- I am playing football with my friends (Tơi chơi bóng đá với bạn tôi.) - She is cooking with her mother (Cô nấu ăn với mẹ cô ấy.)

- We are studying English (Chúng học Tiếng Anh.)

Ta thấy động từ câu sử dụng tiếp diễn cần phải có hai thành phần là: động từ “TO BE” “V-ing” Với tùy chủ ngữ mà động từ “to be” có cách chia khác

2 Phủ định: S + am/ is/ are + not + V-ing CHÚ Ý: - am not: khơng có dạng viết tắt

- is not = isn’t - are not = aren’t Ví dụ:

- I am not listening to music at the moment (Lúc không nghe nhạc.) - My sister isn’t working now (Chị gái không làm việc.)

Đối với câu phủ định tiếp diễn ta cần thêm “not” vào sau động từ “to be” cộng động từ đuôi “–ing”

3 Câu hỏi: Am/ Is/ Are + S + V-ing … ?

Trả lời: Yes, I + am – Yes, he/ she/ it + is – Yes, we/ you/ they + are No, I + am not – No, he/ she/ it + isn’t – No, we/ you/ they + aren’t Đối với câu hỏi ta việc đảo động từ “to be” lên trước chủ ngữ

Ví dụ:

- Are you doing your homework? (Bạn làm tập nhà phải không?) Yes, I am./ No, I am not

- Is he going out with you? (Anh chơi bạn có phải khơng?) Yes, he is./ No, he isn’t

II- CÁCH SỬ DỤNG CỦA THÌ HIỆN TẠI TIẾP DIỄN

1 Diễn tả hành động xảy thời điểm nói Ví dụ:

- We are studying Maths now (Bây học tốn)

Ta thấy thời điểm nói (bây giờ) việc học tốn diễn nên ta sử dụng tiếp diễn để diễn đạt

- She is walking to school at the moment (Lúc cô tới trường.) Vào thời điểm nói (lúc này) việc tới trường diễn nên ta sử dụng tiếp diễn để diễn đạt

2 Diễn tả việc diễn xung quanh thời điểm nói Ví dụ:

- I am looking for a job (Tơi tìm kiếm cơng việc.)

Ta hiểu tả lúc nói người nói khơng nộp hồ sơ hay để tìm việc mà thời gian (có thể bắt đầu trước tháng) người nói tìm kiếm cơng việc Nhưng muốn nói chung chung điều xảy xung quanh thời điểm ta sử dụng tiếp diễn

- I am working for HDC company (Tôi làm việc cho công ty HDC)

Tương tự câu trên, “làm việc cho công ty HDC bắt đầu mà bắt đầu trước Nhưng người nói muốn diễn đạt việc diễn

3 Diễn tả việc xảy tương lai theo kế hoạch lên lịch cố định

Ví dụ:

I bought the ticket yesterday I am flying to New York tomorrow

4 Diễn tả khơng hài lịng hay phàn nàn việc câu sử dụng “always”

Ví dụ:

He is always coming late (Anh ta toàn đến muộn.)

Why are you always putting your dirty clothes on your bed? (Sao lúc để quần áo bẩn giường hả?)

Ta thấy “always” trạng từ tần suất thường gặp đơn Nhưng đơn muốn nói đến tần suất diễn việc Ví dụ như: “She always goes to school at 6.30 am.” (Cô học vào lúc 6h30) Nhưng muốn diễn đạt khó chịu hay muốn phàn nàn điều ta sử dụng tiếp diễn để nói.)

III- DẤU HIỆU NHẬN BIẾT THÌ HIỆN TẠI TIẾP DIỄN + Trong câu có trạng từ thời gian:

- Now:

- Right now: Ngay - At the moment: lúc - At present:

- At + cụ thể (at 12 o’clock) - today: hôm

- tonight: tối = this evening: tối

- still: vẫn; for the time being (now): thời điểm này

+ Trong câu có động từ như:

- Look! (Nhìn kìa!)

- Listen! (Hãy nghe này!) - Keep silent! (Hãy im lặng) - Be quiet! (Giữ yên lặng!) - Hurry up! ( Nhanh lên!)

Ví dụ:

- Now my sister is going shopping with my mother (Bây em gái mua sắm với mẹ tôi.)

- Look! The train is coming (Nhìn kia! tàu đến.) - Listen! Someone is crying (Nghe này! Ai khóc.)

- Keep silent! The baby is sleeping (Hãy im lặng! Em bé ngủ.) IV- QUY TẮC THÊM “- ING” SAU ĐỘNG TỪ

Thông thường ta cần cộng thêm “-ing” vào sau động từ Nhưng có số ý sau:

1 Với động từ tận MỘT chữ “e”: - Ta bỏ “e” thêm “-ing”

Ví dụ: agree – agreeing ( đồng ý)

Với động từ có MỘT âm tiết, tận MỘT PHỤ ÂM, trước MỘT NGUYÊN ÂM

- Ta nhân đôi phụ âm cuối thêm “-ing”

Ví dụ: stop – stopping get – getting put – putting - CHÚ Ý: Các trường hợp ngoại lệ:

beggin – beginning travel – travelling prefer – preferring permit – permitting

- Động từ tận “l” mà trước ngun âm đơn ta nhân

đôi “l” thêm “ing”

Ex: travel - travelling, gravel - gravelling (rải sỏi)

3 Với động từ tận “ie”

- Ta đổi “ie” thành “y” thêm “-ing”

Ví dụ: lie – lying die – dying Thêm “ING” cho động từ sau:

- Play - Ride - Drive - Travel - Get - Listen - Do - Stop - Eat - Drink
