Bạn nhớ lấy câu nói sau:

Tất quy luật phát âm đuôi ed, s es xoay quanh câu nói I ĐI S VÀ ES
1 Quy tắc thêm “s” “es” vào danh từ dạng số nhiều / động từ chia thứ số ít:
Động từ/Danh từ tận O, S, X, Z, CH, SH (Ơi Sơng Xưa Zờ CHẳng SHóng) thêm ES. Ví dụ:
Watch -> Watches Tomato -> Tomatoes Kiss -> Kisses Wash -> Washes Box -> Boxes Doze -> Dozes Các Động từ/ Danh từ tận Y, đổi Y thành I thêm ES Ví dụ:
Fly -> Flies, Sky -> Skies
Tất Động từ/Danh từ lại, ta thêm S.
Ví dụ: Love -> Loves Care -> Cares Book -> Books Cook -> Cooks 2 Cách phát âm đuôi “s” “es”:
Phát âm /ɪz/ từ tận phụ âm gió /s/, /z/, /ʃ/, /ʒ/, /tʃ/, /dʒ/ Ví dụ: Kisses, dozes, washes, watches, etc
Trừ âm gió kể trên, phát âm /s/ từ tận phụ âm vơ thanh KHƠNG rung: /θ/, /f/, /k/, /p/, /t/ (thời fong kiến phương tây)
Ví dụ: waits, laughes, books, jumps, etc
Phát âm /z/ từ tận âm cịn lại: hữu CĨ RUNG Ví dụ: names, families, loves, etc

Phát âm /ɪd/ âm kết thúc là: /d/ or /t/ ( dân tộc) VD:
– Wait —–> waited – Add —–> added
Phát âm /t/ âm kết thúc âm vơ KHƠNG RUNG: /p/, /k/, /f/, /θ/, /s/, /ʃ/, /tʃ/ (thường chữ p, k, f, s, sh, ch, gh)
VD:
– Jump —-> jumped – Cook —–> Cooked – Cough —–> Coughed – Kiss —–> kissed – Wash —–> washed – Watch —–> watched Phát âm /d/ âm lại kết thúc âm RUNG
VD:
– Rub —–> rubbed – drag —–> dragged – Love —–> loved – Bathe ——> bathed – Use ——> Used
