1 VOCABULARY: Các em ôn lại từ vựng chủ đề Our Customs and Traditions, Festivals in Vietnam, Folk Tales

2 GRAMMAR:

2.1 SHOULD/ SHOULDN’T: diễn tả lời khuyên (nên/ không nên làm điều gì)

Positive S + should + V (infinitive)

Negative S + shouldn’t + V (infinitive)

Questions Should + S + V (infinitive)? Example:

- You should start eating more sensibly

- You shouldn’t eat so much chocolate It’s bad for you - Should we buy a new car? Yes, we should

2.2 HAVE TO:

- Được dùng để diễn tả bắt buộc cần thiết phải làm Nó thể việc cần thiết phải làm tác động bên ngồi ( ví đưa định bạn cần làm.)

Positive S + have/ has to + V (infinitive))

Negative S + have/ has to + V (infinitive)

Questions Do/ Does + S + have to + V (infinitive)? Example:

We have to clean the house carefully before Tet. She doesn’t have to wear a company uniform.

Do we have to follow the tradition of cleaning the house before Tet? * Notes:

- Don’t have to: dùng khơng cần thiết để làm (it is not necessary to s.th) Example:

My mother doesn’t have to work on Saturdays

- Nếu muốn người khơng làm bắt buộc dùng must not/ mustn’t

Example:

You mustn’t wear short skirts in here

2.3 Simple sentences, compound sentences and Complex sentences a Simple sentence (Câu đơn): câu có mệnh đề độc lập.

Ngoài câu đơn thể ý chính, có nhiều chủ ngữ có nhiều động từ Example:

I enjoy playing tennis with my friends every weekend

b Compound sentence (Câu ghép):

- Là câu chứa mệnh đề độc lập trở lên, diễn tả ý có tầm quan trọng nhau.

- Chúng sử dụng cách sau để nối mệnh đề: dấu chấm phẩy (;), dấu phẩy liên từ đẳng lập (and, but, so, ), dấu chấm phẩy (;) trạng từ nối tiếp - từ chuyển tiếp (however, moreover ) Example:

c Complex sentences (câu phức):

- Là câu chứa mệnh đề độc lập hay nhiều mệnh đề phụ thuộc Mệnh đề phụ bắt đầu liên từ phụ thuộc đại từ quan hệ (When, while, because….)

- Câu phức sử dụng liên từ phụ thuộc (after, as, because, till, untill….) để nối vế câu * Notes:

- Nếu mệnh đề phụ thuộc đứng trước mệnh đề độc lập sau mệnh đề phụ thuộc dấu phẩy - Nếu mệnh đề độc lập đứng trước mệnh đề phụ thuộc khơng dùng dấu phẩy

Example:

While the elephants are racing, people cheer to encourage them dependent clause Independent clause People cheer to encourage the elephants while they are racing 2.4 Past continuous:

Thì khứ tiếp diễn dùng để vật, tượng xảy thời điểm cụ thể khứ khoảng thời gian không xác định khứ

- Chú ý : Một hành động xảy hành động khác xen vào dùng “ When/ while” Và hai hành động xảy song song với thường dùng “While”

Positive S + was / were + V-ing

Negative S + wasn’t / weren’t + V-ing

Questions Was / Were (not) + S + V-ing ? Example:

At 3.30 the tortoise was running ahead of the hare She was crying when a fairy appeared

A fairy appeared while she was crying

Gong culture in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam has been recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity Gong culture covers five provinces of the Central Highlands: Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Lam Dong The masters of gong culture are the ethnic groups of Bahnar, Sedang, Mnong, Coho… The Gong Festival is held annually in the Central Highlands In the festival, artists from these provinces give gong performances,
