Step 1: Presentation (10 minutes) *The present perfect tense.

- T asks Ss to recall what Tom told Mai about in the conversation in “Getting Started”

- T plays the recording and asks Ss to pay attention to the present perfect (the bold writings)

- T asks Ss to find all the sentences that have “have / ‘ve” then T writes on the board

- T models - Ss chorus then individually - T checks forms, meanings, use and the intonation

+ Form:

+ Meaning: Translate the model sentences into Vietnamese

+ Use: We use the present perfect to describe our experiences, We often use “ever” and “never” when we describe our experiences Remember: The exact time the action happened is not important
