Material needed:Pictures, cassette 4. Students’ preparation:look up the meaning of some new words 5.Previous exercises: Lesson B1, 2. III. PROCEDURES IN CLASS : 1. Stabilization: 2 minutes a.Warm–up:make greetings b.Checking absence:monitor announces the students who are absent. 2. Pre-Practice - Calls on one student to stand up and read the alphabet by Vietnamese. - Introduces the alphabet by English. III. While - Practice -Plays the tape three times and asks the Ss to repeat to know how to read alphabet. - Makes the letters that don’t exit in the Vietnames alphabet f-j-w-z-and the differences of the two English [e,i] in pronouncing. - Calls on several good Ss to pronunce - Asks the Ss to make chained game. - Asks the Ss to go the board to read the alphabet without looking at the books. IV. Post - Practice -Asks the students to play the game “Slap the board” V. Consolidation - Asks the students to read the alphabet again and corrects the mistakes. - Look at, listen to and repeat. - Listen to the teacher. - Stand up and read the alphabet by Vietnamese. - Listen to the teacher. - Listen to the tape and repeat. - Listen and take notes. - Pronunce. - Make chained game. - Read the alphabet without looking at the books. - Play the game. - Read the alphabet again.
