Homework * How to study English well? * Discuss the question: 1/ Which are essential thing for a person who wants to study English? 2/ What must you study when you study English? 3/ How do you study vocabulary? 4/ How do you study structure? - Guide Ss to prepare for Unit 1: section A (A1, A2) Qs guide: 1/ Who will you see after a holiday? 2/ What do you say when you see your friends? 3/ What do you say with the newcomers? T. ask Ss about their personal information T. Introduces the lesson. T. asks Ss to tell their opinion about studying English. T. Gives Ss some Qs then ask them to discuss. T. concludes T. Introduces the structure of the seven English books. Write it up. Date: September 6 th , 2007. LESSON PLAN Period 2: Section A: FRIENDS (A1, A2) I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to use formal and informal greet. II. Language contents: a. Vocabulary: classmate, different, bigger, miss. b. Grammar: Comparatives III. Techniques: pair- work, group work, ask and answer, brainstorming predict. IV. Teaching aid: cassette player, pictures, extra board. V. Procedures: Steps and time Contents Note 1. Warm up 2. Presentation 3. Practice 4. Production Jumble words: CALSSTEMA -> CLASSMATE A1. Listen. Then practice with a partner. * Pre- teach vocabulary: - Nice to see you again (old friends) - Nice to meet you. So am I. - Review the greetings. - Prepare for A5, 6, 7. * T tells Ss to complete the dialogues. - Check the answers. - T gives the correct answers. - T calls some pairs to practice before the class.
