Objectives: - Skill: After the lesson, Ss will be able to ask and answer about the Asian games and sports. - Language: Ss will be able to build a wider range of vocabularies related to the topic to make their own report about Vietnamese performance and achievements. 2. Assumed knowledge: Students have already known some basic vocabulary items and have had some background knowledge of the Asian Games. 3. Teaching aids: Textbook, blackboard, chalk, handouts. 4. Procedure: 4.1. Settlement: Check Ss’ attendance (2m) 4.2. They are bodybuilding, billiards, karate do, shooting, swimming, boxing, weightlifting, table tennis, basket ball. - Calls 3 Ss to go to the board and picks 3 papers but just one by one. And where? ( In India in 1951) + What do we call the country that hold the Asian games? (It is called host country) + did all countries in Asia take part in the first Asian Games? Do you know how many? ( No, there were 11 countries) + how many sports were played at the first Asian Games? (6) + Do you think that the number of countries who join AG later and number of sports would increase? ( Yes) + What were the last Asian Games? Where and when? Vietnamese team has participated in the 14 th Asian Games in Korea. You have to make a report about Vietnamese performance and achievements at the Games.
