To Thi Thuyen - Unit 8: NEW WAYS TO LEARN - English 10 - School year 2018 - 2019 Observer: Date of planning: 19/02/2019 Date of teaching: /02/2019 Class teaching:……………… UNIT 8: NEW WAYS TO LEARN Lesson 4: Speaking I AIMS AND OBJECTIVES - To teach Ss to talk about how electronic can help us learn - To teach Ss to practise sharing and giving responses to new information By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + Express their opinion about how electronic can help us learn + Give a report about how their classmates use the devices to learn school subjects + Perform their viewpoints to other people in real life II TEACHING AIDS: - Textbooks, notebooks, pens, a board, chalk, handouts, projector and laptop, some pieces of papers III TEACHING METHODS: Integrated, mainly communicative Presentation – Practice – Production (PPP) IV ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS: - Students may lack vocabulary of electronic devices, words/structures to express their opinions about using electronic devices in learning IV PROCEDURE: To Thi Thuyen - Unit 8: NEW WAYS TO LEARN - English 10 - School year 2018 - 2019 Teacher’s activities Stages Students’ activities (Timing) WARM-UP - Divide the class into two groups - Each group gets a (6 minutes) - Show the picture on the screen one-by-one representative to the board and turns her/his back to the screen - Other members in P1 Digital camera P2 Smartphone each group use their body language to describe the picture for their friend guess the P3 Tablet P4 Laptop name of the object The group which gets more points is the winner - Ask Ss these questions: Have you ever owned any personal electronic devices?
