deposited in the Zoological Museum, University of Copenhagen Unique Body length 0.40 mm Colour entirely and almost uniformly brownish yellow; head slightly darker than mesosoma which is slightly darker than metasoma; antenna coloured as head, slightly darker than legs Head almost smooth, in dorsal view 1.6 times as wide as long, 1.3 times as wide as thorax Occiput with a fine longitudinal line to anterior ocellus; ocelli in an almost equilateral triangel, ocellocular space about twice the ocelli diameter; malar space about one-fourth the length of an eye; scape (fig 1) hardly 0.9 the length of an eye Length:width:height of mesosoma = 7:5:6 Mesoscutum slightly leathery, with a distinct median line; radialis curved, hardly longer than marginalis; marginal cilia short Metasoma about as long as head and mesosoma combined, without visible sculpture o" unknown 269 A guadalcanalensis sp nov is a most characteristic species on account of short antennae, small size, and pale body colour Thus, the five Australian species of Aphanogmus described by DODD (1914) are all distinctly (arger than guadalcanalensis, of these five species A braconis and A.unifasciatus has basal flagellar Segments of female antenna distinctly longer; only the males of the remaining three species are known, but of these A assimilis is without a median line on mesoscutum, A brunneus and A nigripes are much darker coloured than guadalcanalensis and more than 0.75 mm long, cf DESSART (1964) A goniozi DESSART, 1988 from Sri Lanka differs from guadalcanalensis e.g in being about twice as large and in having mesopleurae longitudinally striated, cf DESSART (1988) The species of Aphanogmus described from Sri Lanka by DESSART (1975) all differ from guadalcanalensis in being more than 0.70 mm long, A conicus DESSART, 1975 also differs e.g in having scape longer than an eye; A longiclavus DESSART, 1975 also differs e.g in having much more slender antennae than guadalcanalensis; A granulosus DESSART, 1975, ,4 hakgalae DESSART, 1975 and A pidurutalagalae DESSART, 1975 also differ e.g in having A3 much larger in proportion to A2 than in guadalcanalensis, cf DESSART (1975) Fig 1: Female antenna of Aphanogmus guadalcanalensis sp nov Scale bar = 0.10 mm Literature DESSART, P - 1964 Contribution ä I'etude des Hym6nopt6res Proctotrupoidea (V) Revision des Aphanogmus (Ceraphronidae) australiens döcrits par A.P DODD - Bull Ann Soc r Ent Belgique 100 (20): 259-278 DESSART, P - 1975 Contribution ä la connaissance des Ceraphronidae de Ceylan (Hymenoptera Ceraphronoidea) - Rev suisse Zool 82: 101-156 DESSART, P - 1988 Aphanogmus goniozi sp n., hyperparasite d'un B£thylid£ au Sri Lanka (Hymenoptera Ceraphronoidea Ceraphronidae) - Bull Annls Soc r beige Ent 124: 99-104 DODD, A.P - 1914 Australian Hymenoptera Proctotrypoidea No - Trans Proc R Soc South Australia 38: 58-131 WOLFF, T -1966 The "Noona Dan" Expedition 1961-1962 General Report and Lists of Stations Vidensk Medd Dansk naturh Foren 129: 287-336 Author's address: Peter Neerup BUHL Parmagade 36, st.tv DK-2300 Copenhagen S Denmark 270 Entomofauna, Band 19, Heft 16 Ansfelden, 30 Juni 1998 Four nevv species of Scelionidae from the Oriental and Australasian regions (Hymenoptera, Scelionoidea) Peter Neerup BUHL Abstract The following four new species are described: Fusicornia noonae sp nov from the Philippines, Styloteleia wolffi sp nov from the Solomon Islands, S oblonga sp nov from the Bismarck Islands, and Callisceliopeterseni sp nov from the Philippines The work is illustrated by text figures Zusammenfassung Die folgenden vier neuen Arten werden beschrieben: Fusicornia noonae sp nov von den Philippinen, Styloteleia wolffi sp nov von den Solomon Inseln, S oblonga sp nov von den Bismarck Inseln, und Calliscelio peterseni sp nov von den Philippinen Die Arbeit ist mit Abbildungen versehen Introduction In the Zoological Museum, University of Copenhagen (ZMUC) many specimens of Scelionidae, especially those collected by the Danish "Noona Dan" Expedition 1961-62 to the Philippines, Bismarck Islands and Solomon Islands, have been determined to genera by Dr Lubomir MASNER (Ottawa) in connection with his work on world genera of Scelionidae (MASNER 1976) Some of these species are described as new to science below Fusicornia noonae sp nov (figs 1-3) Male Body length 1.6 mm Colour black;
