Skills: - Guessing meaning from context - Passage comprehension - Reading for specific information II. Method: - Integrated, mainly communicative III. Teaching aids: - Textbooks, some pictures of water sports IV. Procedure: Time 5’ 5’ 2’ 10’ 6’ Teacher s activities’ -ask S to look at the pictures on page 128 in the text book and answer the questions. -ask Ss to work in pair to answer the questions - go around to help if necessary - call on some Ss to ask and answer freely in front of the class. - comment. - read word by word. - ask Ss to repeat in chorus and individual and write them on the blackboard. - say some words in English and ask Ss to speak them out in Vietnamese. - ask Ss to read the passage and work individually in 5 minutes to do this task. - check answers with the whole class and give feedback. - ask Ss to do the task in pairs and scan the passage to find information in the text to fill words in the blanks. - go round to give help. - check the answers and give feedback. Skills: - Talking about types of water sports - Giving opinions and preferences about water sports II. Method: - integrated, mainly communicative III. Teaching aids: - pictures, textbooks IV. Procedure: Time 4 5 4 10 Teacher s activities - divide the class into 4 groups and deliver a piece of paper to each group. - ask Ss to write down as many words of sports as possible (limit the time in one minute) - ask Ss to show their paper on the board. - read word by word. - ask Ss to repeat in chorus and individual and write them on the blackboard. - show the pictures of water sports on page 131 and speak out their names. - ask Ss to read the information in the table on page 131 - ask Ss questions to build the model. - ask Ss to work in pairs to practice speaking about the other water sports. - go round to give help. - call on some pairs to practice speaking in front of the class. - have Ss to work in groups of 4, in turn talking about one of the Content A.
