II/ Language content: 1. Vocabulary: - Names of parts of the body: head, shoulder, arm, chest, hand, finger, leg, foot, toe. 2. Structures: Review: - What is that? - That is his head. - What are those? - Those are his fingers. III/ Teaching aids: Pictures, word cards, book, board, chalks, . IV/ Teaching methods: - Asking and answering, using pictures, guessing games . V/ Procedures: Teacher's activities Students' activities 1. Warm up (5') - Have Ss play the guessing game: Devide Ss into 2 groups. Read the introductions and have Ss guess what that is. 1. What is X? - It is a part of the body. - It is used to wear hat. - It is on the top of the body. 2. What are Y? - Y are parts of the body. - A person have two Y. - They are in your shoes. - Present new lesson - Play the game as teacher's commands. (Ss can guess in Vietnamese) 1. Use a picture to introduce parts of the body. - Say the new words as pointing to the picture. - Ask Ss to repeat. Then fix word cards to the picture. - Mention the pronunciation of the final sound and the irregular form of the word "foot". Have them practice these sounds. - Have ss read all the new words chorally. - Call some of them to read the new words individually. - Have Ss fix word card to the picture in correct position. 2. Point to the pictures and ask: + What is that? + What are those? - Write the sample and let Ss repeat. - Do examples with some Ss. - Look at the picture and listen to the teacher. - Repeat the new words, pay attention to each part of the body pointed by the teacher. - Listen to the teacher and practice as teacher asks. - Read all the new words. - Read the new words. - Fix word cards to the picture. - Look at the pictures, listen and answer teacher's questions: + That is his leg. + Those are his fingers. - Look at the BB, listen and repeat and coppy. - Do as teacher's commands. 3. Practice (15') - Have them ask and answer in pairs (A2). - Call some Ss to point at the picture on BB and ask other Ss. - Have Ss play the game: Drawing picture: Devide Ss into two groups. Ask them to draw as teacher commands. - Work in pairs. - Ask and answer: Eg: + What is that? That is his head. + What are those? Homework (2') - Learn by heart new words. - Do exercises: 1,2 (P.83 - work book) - Prepare lesson 2 - A3,4,5. - Listen and write.
