B: I don’t like cartoon very much I like love story ( then A and B take notes this information in their handouts) - Finally, call some to report their likes and dislikes and the number of friends who have the same tastes as them.Task 27’- Elicit the expressions of agreement and disagreement Agreement Disagreement I agree Yes, exactly Right! You can’t be serious You must be kidding - Call Ss to read the modal conversation in the textbook T corrects their intonation and pronunciation if necessary - Divide the class into small group of three and instruct Ss to find out the other members of their group feel about the given kinds of films Ss should base themselves on the modal conversation - go around offering for help - Finally, ask some Ss to report their findings ( while Ss’ reporting, T takes notes of their errors if any and corrects them after that)Task 36’- Call on Ss to read the modal conversation in the textbook, check their intonation and pronunciation if necessary - Ask Ss to work in pairs and find out their partner’s preference for a particular type of films, basing on the modal - Go around for help - Call some to report their findings ( While they are speaking, T takes notes their errors and corrects, give comments after thatProduction Suggestions: - When did you see it? - What kind of film is it? - What is it about? - Who is/are the main character(s)? - How did you feel about it? - Why you prefer it to other film?20’- Instruct Ss to work in pairs, ask and answer the questions about a film that they have seen, using the suggestions in the textbook (Task 4p.135) - Ask Ss to take notes of their friend’s story - Go around offering help - Finally, call on some to report their friend’s story ( while Ss are speaking, T listen and take notes of their errors and correct them after that, then give comments) - Give the comments on this part, then lead to the next partPART C LISTENING55’Pre-listening Vocabulary: + Titanic + Suppose + Instead of + Guess 15’- Ask Ss to look at the table on page 136, textbook and go over the points together with the whole-class by asking questions such as ‘How often you watch TV?’ ‘How about listening to the radio?’… and call some to answer Other Ss listen to T’s questions and tick the boxes that best reflect their answers - Introduce the new words that will appear in the listening passage - Elicit the meanings of the words from Ss and correct them if necessary - Play the tape at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wINTEfdS6yw, asking Ss to listen to how the words are pronounced and repeat after the tape - Asking Ss to the gap-filling exercise to check their understand of the words at http://pastehtml.com/view/c2vz1uxps.html - Set the scene: “You are going to listen to two friends, Lan and Huong, talking about their plan for next week” - Then ask Ss to look at the picture in Task and predict the content of the conversation T should elicit by asking such questions as ‘What can you see in the picture?; What you think they may want to do?; What film may they want to see?
